i just got my hair cut today and i need hair styling suggestions...accessorries whatever...any info would be great...my hair is cut to the base of my neck and it is layered...

Use a wax for styling or a paste to shape your hair the way you want it, than use joico firm hairspray to complete the job which you can buy at a beauty salon. If you want you can buy a more affordable hairspray that has a very strong hold. With the joico firm your hair will be like a rock. It wont move at all not even in the wind.

headbands with bows look CUTE on short hair! my hair is above my shoulders in a bob and i have side swept bangs. after i shower, i add a hair serum thoughout my hair and then i use a roller bursh and a blowdryer to style it inward.

Have had my long hair cut & now I have bangs?

I finally broke down %26amp; had my hair layerd %26amp; cut shoulder length with bangs. I have never had bangs at least that I can remember. OMG help! They are either straight flat %26amp; stuck to my forehead or when I blow them dry they pouff out like I am stuck in the 80's. Pointers? They are just barely below my eyebrows and cut pretty much straight across.

Can anyone give this bang virgin some styling tips? Like when drying should I part it and blowdry off to the side? Should I be pulling them forward like towards my nose (which usually results in both sides point in %26amp; the middle straightdown...uggh) If I am blowing it to the side (I like the side bang look) how should I hold the brush...toward my ear, crown or nose? Curling iron or straight iron? Curl them up down sideways? Products? I have some Pomade %26amp; Hair Wax but I don't know how to use them ends up looking wet %26amp; sticky %26amp; usually standing on end.....then I am back into the 80's again. Yes, I know I need LOTS of help. Thanks!

Try a velcro roller on dry hair. I have stick straight (what i call "Marcia Brady" ) hair. I keep it all straight, but need to use a roller in my bangs for a few minutes in the morning to get them to gently curl under a wee bit. Otherwise they're like a broom or look like Barbie's little sister, Skipper. lol.

So yeah, a medium size velcro roller just on the bangs, when dry, spritz with hairspray if needed. it won't give any curl per se, but just enough "turn under".

Anything with heat and bingo - 80's bangs. Even a round brush with a dryer gives too much.

FYI - my stylist suggests no more sideswept bangs. Straight across and "deep" bangs are the next thing and sideswept ones will soon look dated.

You need products. Use mousse or hair gel to get them to stay where you want. You can wear em to the side, straight or pouffy! (I like Got2B Glued) Just have fun!

I just got bangs too! This is my tip. OK if you don't have a straightener go get one. It works trust me. Take your bangs and hold them straight up.curl them with the straightener. take a round brush and curl them like you did with the straightener. and then style them. It really works and makes your bangs really soft. Hope it works!Peace!

Use a diffuser (to curl your hair). Then you can throw it up in a messy bun or something. It looks elegant, but very simple to do. Just need a diffuser, some product ot curl your hair and some bobby pins.

I would try the aussie products they are cheap priced and have all sorts of products to add wave to your hair or even help to keep a nice curl. Try a really bold headband with a side part and lots of ringlets. Or maybe even straighten it with a hottools straightner.

1. Buy some mousse (my personal fav is garnier fructis) and apply to damp hair. Blow dry on medium heat with a diffuser for more volumized and wavy hair.

2. Change your part. Sometimes all you need to create a new look is change where your part is. It can add sophistication or uniqueness depending on where you part your hair.

3. Put your hair up in a basic pony with a clip that matches your outfit or try a cute headband (I find that they have nice ones at Target).

4. Try having your hairdresser do low lights instead of highlights to your hair. They are normally less streaky and look much more natural.

You could try new ways of tying it up, such as gripping back the front section, wearing it in a high ponytail, wearing it in low plaits, wearing it in low pigtails or wearing it in a messy bun.

You could also tie your hair in a low ponytail, then use a clip to clip the middle section of your ponytail to your head. You could either softly curl the hair sticking out, or you could straighten them and use hairspray to make them stand out.

you may need to get a hair wax depending on your hair type (designing mold) ...ok...put gel in your hair and blow dry. comb out 1 inch strand and wrap around the iron...hold for 10 sec and unravel the hair from the iron...not pulling the curl out. spray with hair spray...do the same thing with all of your hair. use hair spray.

Well if you are not good with a curling iron there are other options. You can scrunch it with gel- you take your dampish wettish hair and put gel in your palm. Rub it in your palms and take fistfuls of your hair and squeeze them. After that, dry it with the diffuser attachment on the blow dryer about 3" away.

what you can do is take the curling iron and set it to high for 3 minutes. when the curling iron is warming up I think you can get some one to do it for you and tell them everything i am going to tell you now.when the curling iron is ready you get a about a inch size piece of hair and put that in. then you slowly twist it up in your hair and when the curling iron is high enough for you , you hold it there for 15 seconds you do that for each hair you want, and if you want curls at the end of the hair and not at the top, you can try when you are holding the curling iron you gently pull the iron down your hair in till where you want it to be curly again.

I got that done in a saloon but even bigger just 2 nights ago. You've got to take a few bits of your hair and curl them individually, wrap one around the iron and hold for a few seconds then release and do the same with the rest. You'll get very small tight curls but you can hold the dryer away from your head and just move it around and move your hair around with your other hand. Also put your head down and aim the air at the back of your head then raise it up. You can use any product for volume or serum to protect your hair from the heat on wet hair. If you have str8 hair that wouldn't last, apply hair spray at the end when the waves or curls are big enough for you. Don't go with gel cuz it kills your hair and you would want natural looking healthy curlz and gel won't allow you to have that
