Well usually for a round face, short styles aren't always the best just because they tend to make your cheeks look puffy and give you a chipmunk-ish appearence. I would maybe try layers or getting some side-swept bangs to just try and subdue the emphasis of your face.

I would definitely grow your hair out to about 2 inches bellow your shoulders and get a side bang with angles on both sides of your face. This look will be beautiful on you. It will complement the shape of your face, and it is definitely in style right now.
